Book Review (with spoilers)

Ghost Blowing the Lamp is a novel written by Tian Xia Ba Chang.

I finished the first part some time ago and am currently reading the second part.

I really want to write some reviews.

In the Internet age, everyone can write novels, which has led to the proliferation of online novels.

Most of the novels have the same plot, boring content, and are either full of yy about angry youths or full of yy about non-angry youths.

Against such a background, it is not easy to see such a good novel.

The plot of the story in Ghost Blowing Lantern is twists and turns, strange and strange, and often unexpected.

There are four books in the first part, namely Jingjue Ancient City, Longling Mysterious Grottoes, Yunnan Worm Valley and Kunlun Temple.

The four parts are connected one after another, and the whole is a very coherent story.

From the first part, you explore the ruins of the ancient Jingjue Kingdom and contract a strange disease, which is actually a curse.

Then you go to the second part to find the answer, review a period of history, and lead to the Muchen Bead that can lift the curse.

The Muchen Bead was found in the third part, and then used in a ritual in the fourth part to finally lift the curse.

Let’s talk about the four books in detail below.

Jingjue Ancient City feels like the best book written.

From the first page on, I don’t want to let go.

At the beginning of the story, the mysterious group of tomb robbers is unveiled to the readers.

And the first part also took a weird route.

Let’s first write about the experiences of Hu Bayi and Fatty when they jumped in line.

Here it is mentioned that Hu Bayi accidentally entered the ancient tomb of the Empress Dowager of the Liao Dynasty and saw a ghost.

The scene where the old lady's head accidentally fell off was really weird at the time.

In the second half of the first book, we started exploring the ancient city of Jingjue with Shiry Yang.

The plot in which the corpse-scented konjac causes people to hallucinate is very strange.

The story of Longling Mysterious Cave is divided into three parts.

In the first part, Hu Bayi, Fatty and Da Jinya went to rob the tomb together and entered a very strange tomb.

This tomb was originally a tomb from the Tang Dynasty, but it was superimposed on the ghost tomb of the Zhou Dynasty.

I really like the plot of the hanging soul ladder in it.

The Soul-Suspended Staircase is really weird.

At first, I thought they had walked into a strange space and couldn't get up and down the stairs.

Later, it was discovered that the problem was with the ladder itself.

Some special landmarks were designed to give people the illusion that they were walking on the same section, but in fact they didn't know where they were going.

The stairs themselves are intricate and divided into many paths, making people more and more lost as they go.

Especially when you can't tell your direction in the dark.

Below is a schematic diagram of the hanging soul ladder found online.

Of course, the actual one should be much more complicated.

The second part of "Longling Mysterious Cave" begins to write about the origin of the curse they received, introducing a historical event.

In fact, it was also a tomb robbing incident in the past.

The protagonists were Elder Liao Chen and Partridge Whistle, who later became Shiry Yang's grandfather.

But this story doesn't feel very interesting.

Then the third story returns to modern times, describing what happened in a village, leading to the tomb of King Xian.

Yunnan Worm Valley Kunlun Temple is the last one.

This book also felt a bit messy.

However, it may be that the novelty has lost when I read this book, so it is not as exciting as the first and second books.

Anyway, the plots of the third and fourth books are also quite good.

Overall, the story concept is very wonderful, or the author is very good at making up stories.

No matter how strange things are, they can give an explanation.

Free novels bring you joy and joy ---> storyskyline.net

Whether the explanation is objective or made up, they can at least use their own theories to explain the plot.

Finally, let’s talk about the characters inside.

The main characters are "I" in Hu Bayi's article, Fatty Wang Kaixuan and Shiry Yang.

I feel that Hu Bayi is a bit like the character of Sun Wukong.

He is calm when encountering difficulties, clear-headed, and responsible.

When encountering danger, he can quickly consider countermeasures, organize everyone to respond, and lead everyone out of danger.

Moreover, he has rich experience and his judgment is correct many times.

Fatty is a bit like Zhu Bajie in character.

He is a very loyal friend who is willing to risk life and death for his friends.

He is very loyal.

When he and Hu Bayi are together, they sometimes make jokes.

Of course, Shirey Yang is no longer Tang Seng.

Shirey Yang is a very strong woman, with clear thinking, calm mind, richer knowledge than Hu Bayi, and strong ability to analyze problems, a bit like Bai Su in Wesley.
