One day in June 2019, I wrote the beginning of Shadow Tracks.At the time, I didn't know that this book would be so long.Until one day in June 2020, I typed these four words on the keyboard.This means that another book is over.I was relieved.This feeling of relief is different from the previous few times when I finished the book.It's hard to describe.I don't know if it's a release after bitterness, or if I've finally completed the most difficult part of the road.This book is quite special.It has too many problems in the early, middle and late stages.These questions come from me personally.My design of it, my control of it, my understanding and manipulation of it have almost deviated from my original plan in all aspects.But that doesn't mean the book is a failure.It's just not as smooth as the previous ones, and within a preset framework, I tried to fill in too much content, and the world I wanted to express was not born in my pen.This is a big lesson.Just as we are walking on the road of life, as long as we are still working hard, it is inevitable to make mistakes.Except for those geniuses who are born to know, who can go all the way to the top of the preset goal without making mistakes?
At the end of this moment, my mood became very relaxed.Instead of dwelling on how to reverse those mistakes, I tried my best to fix the flaws in the plot and story.This, of course, is inherently flawed.I still remember that at the time of the opening of the book, some "readers" boldly predicted that the book was finished, that it would definitely not be written to the end, that it would definitely collapse.I was very angry, and I tried to prove to them that my work wasn't as bad as they said it was.But then a lot happened, the changes in the general environment, the violent turmoil in the industry, and the epidemic in 2020, like a stream of sea that engulfed me and my book all the way forward.I think it may not have lived up to the expectations of the readers, nor did it live up to my original vision.But it's not a failure.I can make a coherent rebuttal to tell those who saw the decline that the book ended up with a complete system.But perhaps, we can do otherwise.Throw those doubts and abuses behind your ears, accept your frustrations, admit your shortcomings, and bury your head in the scolding.I realized that it was really time for me to change the battlefield.It's not that I've lost my love for fandom.Actually, I still have too many fanfiction stories to write, but after all, I still have to look forward, go to that original star, and find the star that belongs to me.Embark on an unfamiliar starting point and find your own way.My words lack a kind of power, lack of penetration, lack of certain feelings and ideas that can be carried.I don't know what I'm trying to carry, but I'm going to try to find it.In the postscript chapter of this book, I added a short introduction to the next book to try to break out of my own way of writing.Say goodbye to the same people for a while.,Go and try the original.。
