World of Warcraft Chronicles (15-28)

15 Guardian of Tirisfa With the troll threat in the north, the elves of Quel'Thalas began to work on rebuilding their homeland, and the victorious army of Alathas returned to their southern homeland, Rapids.

As Arathso's human society grew and prospered, Soladin struggled to maintain Riptide as the center of the kingdom because he feared that his country would fall apart if it continued to expand.

After many years of peaceful development and trade in the kingdom of Arathasak, the great Soladin died, and the younger generation of Arathas began to freely expand the borders of the kingdom beyond Rapids.

The original 100 wizards taught by the elves continued to grow their powers, studying the occult discipline of manipulating spells in greater detail.

These magicians were originally selected for their strong will and noble soul, and they always used magic with a responsible mindset.

However, when they passed on the secrets and power of magic to a new generation, the young people had no idea of the rigors of war and the need for self-control.

Gradually, young magicians began to use magic for their own selfish gain, rather than for the duty of protecting their fellow citizens.

As the kingdom grew, new lands were opened up, and young magicians came to the south.

Magicians wield their mystical powers to protect their fellow citizens from wild beasts and make it possible to build new city-states in the wasteland.

But as their power grows, they become more and more self-righteous and alienated from society.

Arathso's second city-state, Dalaran, was established north of Riptide, and many fledgling wizards left the oppressive Rapids for Darlaran in the hope of using their newfound powers more freely.

These magicians built the magical spire of Dalaran and studied magic with fanaticism.

The inhabitants of Dalaran respected the efforts of the magicians and established a lively trading system under their protection.

However, as more and more magicians used magic, the space around Dalaran became fragile and began to crack.

Due to the unrestrained use of magic by the magicians of Dalaran, some of the minions of the Burning Legion who were banished when the Well of Eternity collapsed were redirected back into the world.

Although these relatively weak demons did not appear in large numbers, they still caused a certain amount of chaos in Dalaran.

Most encounters with demons were sporadic incidents, and the ruling Magoklas Council did everything in their power to hide them from the public eye.

Some of the most powerful mages were sent to capture these cunning demons alive, but they usually found that these mighty Burning Legion minions, though alone, were far more powerful than they could handle.

After a few months, the superstitious peasants began to suspect that their sorcerer rulers had deliberately hidden something terrible from them, and rumors of the revolution began to circulate as the discerning citizens questioned the motives and actions of the sorcerers they had once praised.

As the Magoklas Council feared that the peasants would revolt and cause Riptide to take action against them, they had to turn to the Elves, the allies they felt were the only ones who could understand the particular problem they were facing.

After hearing a report from the Council of Magoklas about the demonic activities in Dalaran, the elves quickly sent their most powerful sorcerers to human territory.

The elven wizards studied Dalaran's energy flow and then wrote detailed reports on each of the demonic activities they witnessed.

They concluded that although there were only a handful of demons wreaking havoc in the world, the Burning Legion would remain a formidable threat to the world if humans continued to abuse magic.

The Silvermoon Council, which rules over the elves of Quel'Thalas, has made a secret pact with the lords of the Council of Dalaran Magokras.

The elves told the Council of Magoklath a few things about the history of the ancient Kalimdor and the Burning Legion, which still threaten the world to this day.

They tell the humans that as long as they use magic, they must find a way to protect their people from the threat of the Burning Legion.

The Council of Magoklas proposes to bestow their collective power on one of the strongest mortals to wage a never-ending secret war against the Burning Legion.

Fearing that people would riot due to fear and suspicion, they stressed that the majority of humanity must never be made aware of the existence of the Guardians or the threat of the Burning Legion.

The elves agreed, and formed a secret society to oversee the election of the Guardians and help curb the rise of chaos in the world.

The society held a secret meeting in the shadowy Tirisfal Glade, where the elves had first settled in Lordaeron.

As a result, they named the secret organization the Guardians of Tirisfa.

The strongest mortals are chosen as guardians, endowed with amazing powers that contain elven and human magic.

Although the Guardians have always been alone, they are so powerful that they can stand up to the Burning Legion on their own, no matter where they are.

Due to the sheer power of the Guardians, only the Tyriss Mage has the power to select those who have the potential to carry on the mantle of the Guardians.

Whenever a Guardian is too old, or tired of this secret war against evil, the Council will elect a new strong man to formally channel the Guardian's power into the new agent's body while ensuring that nothing goes wrong.

Over time, the Guardians have covertly protected humanity from the minions of the Burning Legion that dot the lands of Alathor and Quel'Salas.

Alathor has prospered as magic spreads across the country, and the Guardians continue to watch the demon's activities carefully. 16 Ironforge – The Awakening of the Dwarves After the Titans left Azeroth, the Earth Spirits they created continued to carve and guard the depths of the world.

The earth spirits are largely unconcerned with the affairs of the various races that inhabit the surface, and they only focus on exploring the underworld.

While the explosion of the Well of Eternity tore apart the world of Azeroth, it also deeply affected the Earth Spirits.

They have suffered a great blow from the suffering of the earth, and as a result, they have lost their sense of self and closed themselves in the stone chambers where they were born.

Uldaman, Uldem, and Ulduar were the first cities built by the Tullings to be named after the Ancient Titans.

Now, these cities are buried deep underground, where the earth spirits have been sleeping for nearly 8,000 years.

It was unclear what had awakened them, but one day, the earth spirits of Uldaman had woken up from their slumber.

These earth spirits found that their bodies had changed a lot during their slumber.

Their skin, which was as hard as a stone, became soft and smooth, and their ability to control the earth and stones became much weaker.

They became more ordinary creatures.

Calling themselves the "Dwarves", the last remaining Earth Spirits left Uldaman City to explore the awakening world of Azeroth.

Since they are still drawn to the mysteries and security of the depths of the earth, the dwarves have built a huge kingdom among the highest peaks on land.

They named their kingdom after Kazgros, the god of the Titans, and called it "Kazmodan" or "Kaz's Peak".

The dwarves built altars for their Titan fathers and built a huge furnace in the middle of the mountain.

Since then, a city known as Ironforge has sprung up around this furnace.

Dwarves are naturally obsessed with working with gems and rocks, and love to mine deep in the mountains to dig for rare deposits.

They are content with their work underground, and have no interaction with other races on the ground. 17 The Seven Kingdoms Riptide continues to play the role of the center of Arathas but, like Dalaran, many new city-states have gradually established themselves on the continent of Lordaeron.

Gilneth, Alterac, and Kurtilas were the first city-states to be founded, and although each of these city-states had their own customs and trade activities, they all obeyed Riptide.

Under the watchful eye of the Tirius Puja, Dalaran became the land's primary center of magical learning.

The council of Magoklas, who ruled Dalaran, founded Kenrito, a sect dedicated to documenting and studying every magic and every magical object they found.

Gilneth and Alterac became strong supporters of Riptide and developed a powerful army, and their expedition made it all the way to the mountainous lands south of Kazmodan.

It was during this time that humanity first encountered the ancient race of dwarves, who traveled to the dwarven underground cave city of Ironforge.

Humans and dwarves share a lot of knowledge about metal forging and engineering, and find that they share a common love for combat and storytelling.

The city-state of Kurtilas was founded on a huge island south of Lordaeron, and they developed a thriving trade based on fishing and ocean shipping.

Over time, Kurtilas built up a formidable merchant fleet that traveled through all known lands in search of treasures to trade and sell.

But while the kingdom of Araso grew more prosperous, its most powerful core began to fall apart.

At this time, the lords of Riptide City began to gradually transfer their possessions to the prosperous northern region of Lordaeron, leaving the barren South behind.

King Soladin's heirs, the last of Arathi's lineage, argue that they should not give up Riptide, drawing the resentment of the high-ranking citizens who are also desperate to leave.

The lords of Riptide City decided to abandon their ancient city and look to the uncivilized north in search of purity and enlightenment.

Far north of Dalaran, the lords of Riptide have established a new city-state known as Lordaeron, from which the continent takes its name.

Lordaeron became a place of retreat for pilgrims and all those seeking inner peace.

Abandoned in the crumbling walls of the ancient Riptide City, the descendants of Arathi decided to head south into the rocky mountains of Kazmodan.

Many long years passed, and they finally ended their journey and settled in a place called Azeroth in the north of the continent.

They established the Kingdom of Stormwind in a fertile valley, which soon became a place of its own self-sufficiency.

There are still a few warriors who remain in Riptide City, and they have decided to continue to live there and guard the city of their ancient city.

Riptide City is no longer the center of the Empire, but it has gradually developed into a new city-state, Riptide Castle.

Although each city-state prospered under its own rule, the Arathas Empire was completely torn apart.

As each nation developed its own customs and beliefs, the differences between each city-state grew.

King Soladin's dream of unifying humanity eventually faded with the wind. 18 Egwen and the Dragon Slayer While the political and military battles between the seven human kingdoms are raging, the Guardians are still fulfilling their duty to fight the chaos.

Over the years, there have been many Guardians, but only one at any one time could possess the magical powers of the Council of Tiris.

As one of the last guardians of this age, she is a formidable warrior against evil and darkness.

Egwene, the passionate human girl, earned the approval of the Tyrius Festival and was awarded the Guardian's Mantle.

Egwene worked energetically, hunting and eradicating every demon she found, but she was always skeptical of the power of the Tyriss Puja, which was monopolized by men.

She believed that the Parliament, held by the ancient elves and elders, was too old and narrow in its thinking to give far-sighted and decisive orders to fight the chaos.

She was extremely impatient with her long and boring conversations and debates, and she was eager to prove her worth to her superiors and peers, so she often did heroic but unwise things at many critical moments.

As the power of Tirisfa at her disposal grew, Egwene began to notice some powerful demons lurking in the snow-covered continent of Northrend.

She traveled all the way north into the mountains to track down the demons.

There, she discovers that demons are hunting a surviving dragon clan in an attempt to suck the innate magic of these ancient creatures.

These demons, who deliberately avoid the ever-changing human society, the powerful dragons and the Burning Legion, are inseparable.

Egwene eliminated the demons with the help of the dragons, and when the last demon disappeared from this world, a great storm appeared in the north.

A large dark figure appeared in the sky above Northrend, and the leader of the Burning Legion, the Demon King Sargeras, appeared before Egwene's eyes, exuding hellish energy around him.

He warned the young Guardian that the time of the Tyrius Puja was coming to an end, and that the world would be conquered by the Burning Legion.

Believing that she was capable of fighting this god-like demon, the proud Egwene unleashed all her strength to attack Sargeras's body.

Much to her surprise, Egwene easily defeated the Demon King and succeeded in destroying Sargeras's body.

Fearing that Sargeras's soul would still linger, the naïve Egwene sealed the remains of his body in an ancient hall that sank to the bottom of the ocean when the Well of Eternity exploded.

Egwene didn't realize that what she was doing was exactly what Sargeras expected.

She had inadvertently sealed the fate of the world of Azeroth, as Sargeras's soul had infiltrated Egwen's fragile body at the moment of his physical death.

Unbeknownst to the young Guardian, Sargeras will lurk in the dark side of her soul for a long time. 19 Battle of the Three Hammers The dwarves of Ironforge have lived in peace for centuries, but their mountain city boundaries are too limited, and their society is too large.

While the mighty King of the Mountains, Modimus Anvimar, rules all the dwarves with justice and wisdom, three powerful clans have emerged in the dwarven society.

As the traditional guard of the Ironforge Fortress, the Copperbeard Clan, led by Prince Madolan Copperbeard, is the most closely connected to the King of the Mountain; The Hammer tribe, led by Prince Caderos Wildhammer, inhabit the hills and cliffs below the mountains, hoping to gain more control over the city; The third powerful clan is the Black Iron Clan, led by the Mage Prince Thorrisson, who live in seclusion in the deepest depths of the mountain mines, planning to overthrow their brethren of the Copperbeard and Hammer tribes.

The three tribes remained in a shaky state of peace, but the death of the King of the Mountains had made the fragile peace disappear completely.

Three clans fought a war for control of Ironforge, and the dwarven civil war raged underground for many years.

Eventually, the Copperbeard Clan, the most powerful of armies, expelled the Hammer and Black Iron Clans from the Ironforge and won the war.

Caderos and his Hammer warriors migrated north, passing through the Gates of Dan Ogaz and establishing their kingdom on Grimbaatar.

The Hammer prospered there and rebuilt their treasure storehouses.

Thorrison and his Black Iron tribe were not so lucky, and the humiliation of defeat made them even more angry, and they vowed to take revenge on Ironforge.

Thoresen built a city (named after himself) in the beautiful Red Ridge Mountains.

The abundance of life and the passage of time did not dispel the hatred of the Black Iron tribe towards their brothers, and Thorrison and his witch lady Mordgood attacked Ironforge and Grimbaatar in two directions.

The Black Iron Clan is ready to take all of Kazmodan's lands into their pockets.

The armies of the Black Iron tribe swept through the armies and fortresses of their two brother tribes, and almost captured two kingdoms.

However, Madolan Copperbeard personally led his clan to defeat Thorrisen's mage forces.

Thoresen and his retinue fled back to their city despite the tide of Grimbaatar's battle, leaving Mordgood's army in a more difficult position against Kadros and his Brute Hammer forces.

When Mordgood confronts her enemies, she always uses her powers to seam fear deep into their hearts.

Shadows moved at her command, and dark objects emerged from the depths of the earth, lurking in the Hammer Fortress.

Eventually, Mordgood breached the gate and went straight to the last bastion.

The Hammer warriors were united, and Kaderos himself went into battle to kill the Mage Queen in the midst of thousands of horses.

Mordgood's death crushed the Black Iron Army to the enraged Hammer Army, and as they fled south to their city, they were confronted by reinforcements from Ironforge.

The remaining Black Iron Tribal forces were flanked from both sides and were completely annihilated.

The combined forces of Ironforge and Grimbaatar then turned south, intending to wipe out Thoresen and his Black Iron clan once and for all.

But they didn't get far, and Thorrison's rage caused a flood of magical fluctuations.

He began to summon powerful supernatural beings in order to win the battle, and desperately summoned ancient powers that lay dormant underground.

What shocked him (and ultimately destroyed him) was that the creatures he summoned were far more terrifying than any nightmare he could ever imagine.

Ragnaros, the Firefiend, was the king of the fire elemental who was sealed by the Titans when he first founded this world, and he was reborn again due to the summons of Thoreson.

Ragnaros' rebirth in Azeroth shattered the Red Ridge Mountains, and his power caused a roaring volcano to rise from the ground, forming a volcano bordered by a scorching canyon to the north and a burning plain to the south, the Blackstone Tower.

Although Thoresen was killed by the power he unleashed, most of his surviving fellow were enslaved by Ragnaros and his elemental creatures.

To this day, they are still left in the Blackstone Tower.

After witnessing the terrible sights of destruction and the raging flames of the southern mountains, King Madolan and King Kaderos halted their armies and hastily turned around and retreated towards their own country, lest they face the terrible power of Ragnaros.

The Copperbeards returned to Ironforge and rebuilt their glorious city, and the Hammers returned to their home in Grimbaatar.

However, Mordgood's death left a wicked blemish on the hill fortress, and the dwarves of the Hammer tribe found it no longer habitable, and they were deeply saddened by the loss of their beloved home.

The king of the Copperbeard tribe gave the Hammer tribe a shelter within the borders of Ironforge, but the Hammer stubbornly refused him.

Caderos and his people traveled north to the land of Lordaeron, where they settled in the rich forests of Hinterland, where the Hammer tribe built the city of Erepeak, and gradually became close to nature, even befriending the local griffins.

The dwarves of Ironforge wanted to keep in touch and trade with their compatriots, so they built two huge arched bridges connecting the mountain passes between Kazmodan and Lordaeron, the Sador Bridge.

The two countries prospered through mutual trade, and after the deaths of Madolan and Kaderos, their sons jointly initiated the carving of two huge statues in memory of their father.

The two statues guard the passage to the volcanic lands of the south, and together they seem to be a warning to those who try to attack the dwarven kingdom, reminding them of the terrible price paid by the Black Iron Clan for their crimes.

The two kingdoms continued to maintain a close relationship for several years, but the dwarves of the Hammer tribe changed a lot due to the horrors they saw in Grimbaatar, and they began to live in the heights of Mount Erepeak, instead of digging their kingdom deep in the mountains.

Due to the huge differences between ideologies, the two dwarven clans eventually parted ways. 0 The Last Guardian As the years passed, Egwene the Guardian grew stronger, and she used the power of Tirisfa to greatly extend her lifespan.

She mistakenly believes that she has eliminated Sargeras and continues to fight against the minions of the Demon King for the next nine hundred years to protect the world.

However, the Tiriss Festival ultimately decided to end her role as Guardian.

The Council ordered Egwene to return to Dalaran so that they could choose a new Guardian.

However, Egwene does not trust the council, and she decides to choose her successor.

Determined to have a child to inherit her power, the proud Egwene will not allow the Tyriss Law to manipulate her heir in the same way that she manipulates her, so she travels to Azeroth in the south, where she finds the perfect candidate: the human magician Neras Elam.

Elam was once King Azeroth's court magician and advisor to the king, and Egwene seduced the magician and conceived his child.

Neras's innate gift for magic is deeply imprinted into the unborn child, and determines the tragic path that the child will take in the future.

The power of Tirisfar's power also entered the child's body, but it was only when his body matured that this power would awaken.

Time flies, and Egwene gives birth to her son in an isolated forest.

He was given the name Medivan, a word meaning "one who keeps secrets" in the language of the High Elves.

Egwene believes her son will grow up to be the next Guardian.

Unfortunately, however, Sargeras's malevolent spirit hid within her and took possession of her child's body long before she was pregnant.

Egwene had no idea that the new Guardian who had just arrived in this world had been overrun by his greatest enemy.

After confirming that Medivan was growing up healthy and lively, Egwene sent the young child to Azeroth's court to be raised by his human father and others.

She herself roamed the wilderness, preparing for the rest of her life.

Medivan grew up healthy as a strong child, but he was completely unaware of the power he had in his body.

Sargeras waited for the moment, for the power in the young man's body to manifest itself.

As a teenager, Medivan became popular in Azeroth due to his prowess' magical skills.

At the same time, he often went on expeditions with two of his friends, one of whom was Prince Ryan of Azeroth, and the other was the only descendant of the Arathi lineage, Anduin Lothar.

Although the three children often play pranks in the kingdom, they are very fond of the common people.

When Medivan reached the age of 14, a powerful power within him awakened, and this power clashed violently with the soul of Sargeras, which was lurking in his soul.

As a result, Medivan fell into a slumber that lasted for several years.

When he awoke from his coma, he found that he had grown up and that his friends Ryan and Anduin had become regent of Azeroth.

Though he wanted to use the incredible power in his body to protect the land he called home, Sargeras's soul turned his will and emotions to the darker side.

Sargeras appears on the dark side of Medivan's mind, knowing that his plan for a second invasion of this world is nearing success, and that this last guardian will help them accomplish it. 1 Kilgardan and the Shadow Pact Around the time of Medivan's birth, the Fraudster Kilgardan and his followers were plotting their next move in the Warped Void.

This cunning demon lord, under the orders of his master Sargeras, plans the Burning Legion's second invasion of the world of Azeroth.

This time, he couldn't allow any slip-ups.

Kil'Gardan thinks he needs to send a new force to weaken Azeroth's defenses before the Burning Legion can easily conquer the world.

If the native races of Azeroth, such as the Night Elves and Dragons, were to suffer losses when they were forced to deal with a new threat, they would be too weak to put up any substantial resistance when the Burning Legion did invade.

It was at this time that Kilgardan discovered Draenor, a world teeming with life, floating silently in the endless darkness.

This idyllic expanse is home to the clan-based orcs and the peace-loving Draenei with shamanic traditions.

The noble orc clans nomaded and hunted in the vast grasslands, while the studious Draenei built primitive cities on towering cliffs and mountain peaks.

Kilgardan realizes that, with proper training, these Draenor natives have great potential to serve the Burning Legion.

After comparing the two races, Kilgardan believes that the martial orcs are more susceptible to the Burning Legion's depravity.

He used almost exactly the same tactics that Sargeras had used to control Queen Aishara long ago, enslaving the elder orc shaman, Naozu.

Through the guidance of this shaman, the demon spread the killing and ferocity throughout the orc clan.

Soon after, this noble race was transformed into a group of bloodthirsty slaves.

Kil'Gardan drove Naozu and his people to the final step of the Fall: to make them exist solely in pursuit of death and war.

But Neozu realizes that his people will be bound by hatred forever, and for some reason, he refuses to obey the demon's orders.

Frustrated by Naozu's refusal to cooperate, Kil'Gardan soon began looking for another orc who could hand over his fellow citizens to the Burning Legion.

The cunning Demon Lord finally found a faithful disciple to his satisfaction, Neozu's ambitious student, Gul'dan.

Kil'Gardan promised to give Gul'dan endless power in exchange for his absolute loyalty.

The young orc gradually became a greedy apprentice of demonic magic, becoming the strongest warlock ever in the world.

He taught this mystical sorcery to other young orcs and sought to eradicate the noble shamanic traditions of the orc clan.

Gul'dan showed his fellow citizens a new magic, a terrifying, death-like energy.

Kil'Gardan seeks absolute control over the orcs, so he helps Gul'dan establish the Shadow Council, a secret sectarian organization whose role is to manipulate orc clans and use sorcery magic to expand across the continent of Draenor.

As more and more orcs began to practice witchcraft and magic, the peaceful and vibrant world of Draenor began to grow dark and withered.

With the passage of time, the vast grasslands have left the land for the orcs to thrive, and there is a red wasteland everywhere.

The demonic energy is slowly destroying the world.

The Rise of the Horde Under the control of Gul'dan and his Shadow Council, the orcs became increasingly aggressive.

They built grand arenas where orcs honed their killing skills and experienced war and death.

During this time, some of the clan chiefs expressed strong dissatisfaction with the depravity of the race, including Durotan, the chief of the Frostwolf Clan, who warned that the orcs had lost themselves and were in a state of hatred and rage.

However, his warnings went unheeded, and some powerful clan chiefs—such as Grimm Hellroar of the Warsong Clan—stepped forward to usher in this new era of war and conquest.

Although Kilgardan knew that the orc clan was basically ready, he still needed to confirm the absolute loyalty of the orcs to him.

Through the Shadow Council, he secretly summoned Manolos the Saboteur, a berserk demon full of destruction.

At the same time, Gul'dan also gathered the clan chiefs together and convinced them that they would become invincible after drinking the furious blood of Manolos.

With the exception of Durontan, all of the clan chiefs drank the blood of the rage under the Roar of Grom Hell, leaving their fate in the hands of the demons and becoming slaves of the Burning Legion.

Lured by the blood of Manolos, the chieftains unconsciously spread the conquest to their fellow citizens who absolutely trusted them.

The orcs are completely engulfed by this bloodthirsty curse and are ready to take out their anger on anyone who stands in their way.

Gul'dan felt that the time was ripe and united the various clans that had conquered each other into a unified and unstoppable tribe.

However, after considering that certain chiefs such as Grom Hellroar and Orgrim Doomhammer might fight each other over the position of Supreme Commander, Gul'dan set up a puppet chief to rule the new tribe.

Blackhan the Destroyer, an unusually depraved and evil leader, has been chosen to become Gul'dan's puppet.

Under Blackhan's command, the orc horde began to test their combat prowess with the rustic draenei.

A few months later, the Horde had wiped out nearly all of the Draenei on the continent of Draenor, with only a few Draenei survivors barely surviving the terrible fury of the orcs.

Triumphant of victory, Gul'dan indulged in the power and power of the Horde all day long.

However, he was well aware that if there were no enemies to kill, the orc tribe would be destroyed in an endless civil war due to slaughter beyond his control.

Kilgardan also realizes that the Horde is fully ready, and the orcs have become the most powerful weapon in the hands of the Burning Legion.

He told his master the news, and Sargeras thought that his time for revenge had finally come.

The Dark Gate and the fall of Stormwind While Kil'Gardan prepares the Horde for an invasion of Azeroth, Medivan is still fighting Sargeras for control of his soul.

King Ryan of Stormwind grew uneasy about the dark aura that had eaten away at Medivan's soul, and informed Anduin Lothar, the last of Arathi's bloodline, the commander of the army appointed by King Ryan himself.

However, neither of them could have imagined the catastrophe that would come with Medivan's gradual descent into madness.

Sargeras promised Gul'dan that if he promised to lead his tribe in an invasion of Azeroth, he would give him great power in return.

Through Medivan's mouth, he tells Gul'dan that if he can find the underwater crypt where the Guardian Egwene sealed the remains of Sargeras more than a thousand years ago, he can become the master of the world.

Gul'dan accepted Sargeras's terms and decided to find the legendary tomb and claim his due reward after defeating the natives of Azeroth.

After confirming that the orcs would obey his domination, Sargeras ordered the orcs to begin an invasion.

Medivan and the Warlocks of the Shadow Council have joined forces to open a spatial passage known as the Dark Gate.

This passage connects Azeroth to Draenor, and is large enough for an entire army to pass through.

Gul'dan sent orc scouts through the Dark Portal to reconnoiter the continent they were about to conquer, and the information they brought back convinced the Shadow Council that the time was ripe to take Azeroth.

Durotan still believed that Gul'dan's fall would lead to the demise of the Horde, and he once again protested to the Warlocks.

The warrior claimed that the Warlocks were turning their back on the noble and pure spirit of the Orcs, and that this reckless invasion of theirs would ultimately bring doom to the Orcs.

Since Gul'dan did not dare to risk killing such a famous hero, he resorted to exile Durotan and his Frostwolf clan to the edge of the New World.

After the exiled Frostwolf Clan rushed through the passage, only a few orc clans followed him to the New World.

The orcs soon established a military base in the Black Swamp, a gloomy swamp to the east of the Stormwind Kingdom.

As the orcs began to expand and explore this new land, they immediately clashed with the human guards of Stormwind.

Although these conflicts ended quickly, they fully reflect the strengths and weaknesses of both sides of the conflict.

Ryan and Lothar never knew the exact number of orcs, and could only rely on guesswork to determine how big the threat was to be.

A few years later, when most of the orc tribes had entered Azeroth, Gul'dan decided that the time had come for a general assault on humanity.

The orc horde gathered all their strength to attack the unwitting kingdom of Stormwind.

When the conflict between humans and orcs spread throughout the kingdom of Azeroth, both warring sides paid the price.

Convinced that the cruel orcs would not be able to conquer the continent of Azeroth, King Lane contemptuously held his ground in the capital of the Stormwind Kingdom.

However, Sir Lothar felt that he should go head-to-head with his enemies, and he had to choose between his own ideas and his loyalty to the king.

Eventually, he chose his instincts, and with the help of Medivan's young apprentice, Khadgar, Sir Lothar launched a lightning-fast assault on Medivan's mage tower in Karazhan.

Khadgar and Lothar succeed in defeating the Mad Guardian, the culprit who started the war.

By destroying Medivan's body, Lothar and Khadgar inadvertently drove Sargeras's soul into the abyss.

The pure and kind Madison's soul was thus liberated, and he wandered in the astral plane for many years.

Although Medivan was defeated, the orc tribe still had the upper hand.

As the orc army was about to emerge victorious, Orgrim Doomhammer, one of the greatest orc chieftains, began to perceive the depraved power that had begun to spread throughout the tribe while they were still in Draenor.

His old friend Durotan returns from the penal colony and once again exposes Gul'dan's treachery to him.

Gul'dan's killers soon assassinated Durontan's family, leaving only his young son.

Unbeknownst to Doomhammer, this Durontan's only bloodline, was discovered by a human lieutenant named Edras Blackmore and raised him like a slave.

That young orc went on to become known to be the greatest orc leader.

Enraged by Durontan's death, Orgrim set out to save the orc tribe from evil depravity, eventually killing Blackhan, Guldan's puppet, and replacing him as the leader of the orc tribe.

Under his rule, the ruthless orcs eventually launched an attack on Stormwind Fortress.

King Ryan grossly underestimated the power of the orc horde, and he watched helplessly as his kingdom fell into the hands of these green-skinned invaders.

Eventually, Ryan was assassinated by Garona, a half-orc, one of the best killers in the Shadow Council.

Lothar and his warriors returned from Karazhan in the hope of minimizing casualties and saving their homeland.

However, they returned too late, and the kingdom they loved was reduced to ruins.

The orc horde is still ravaging every inch of land, and Lothar, who has been forced into hiding, and his companions have vowed to reclaim their homeland at any cost. 4 Lordaeron Alliance After the fall of Stormstorm, Ser Lothar regrouped the remnants of Azeroth's forces and led a massive migration of refugees across the ocean to Lordaeron in the north.

The leaders of the Seven Kingdoms of Humanity reached a consensus that if they did not stop the orc tribes, they would eventually conquer all of humanity, so the seven nations united to form the Lordaeron Alliance.

For the first time in 3,000 years, the countries divided by Araço are united under the same banner.

Designated as the Supreme Commander of the Human Alliance, Sir Lothar prepares his troops to face the invading orc tribes.

With the help of lieutenant Lightbringer Uther, Admiral Dalyn Prodmore, and Tulayan, Lothar succeeded in making the various non-human races of Lordaeron aware of the rapidly approaching threat.

The Human Alliance has succeeded in gaining support from the stubborn dwarves in Ironforge and a portion of the High Elves of Quel'Thalas.

The elves, led by Anastria Sunstrider, have little interest in the impending war, yet they still rush to Sir Lothar's aid in order to fulfill their obligations under the contract, as Lothar is the last bloodline of Arathi, descended from those who helped the High Elves centuries ago.

The orc tribe, led by Orgrim Doomhammer, brought ogres from their homeland of Draeno and recruited the Amani Forest trolls who had been robbed of their homes into their troops.

They waged campaigns on an unprecedented scale, engulfing the dwarven-ruled continent of Kazmodan and the southern region of Lordaeron, and effortlessly crushed all opposition forces.

The Second Orc War stretched from sporadic clashes at sea to massive aerial dogfights.

For unknown reasons, the orc tribe dug up a powerful artifact known as the Demon Souls and used it to enslave the Red Dragon Queen, Alexstasa.

Threatened with the destruction of her precious dragon eggs, the orc horde forced Alexstasa to send her adult children into battle.

The noble red dragons had to fight for the orc tribe.

The war spanned all of Kazmodan, Lordaeron, and Azeroth.

During the Battle of the Northern Front, the Orc tribe burned the surrounding area of the distant elven kingdom of Quel'Salas to ashes, which led the elves to fully assist the human alliance in its efforts.

The larger towns of Lordaeron were razed to the ground, and despite a lack of reinforcements and an overwhelming superiority of the orcs, Lothar and his allies managed to hold back the enemy's advance.

However, in the final days of the Second Orc War, when the victory of the Orc Horde over the Human Alliance was within reach, a terrible split broke out between two of Azeroth's most powerful orcs.

As Orgrim Doomhammer made final preparations for an assault on Lordaeron's capital, an attack that could crush the last remnants of the Human Alliance, Gul'dan and his followers deserted and sailed.

The Orc Horde lost nearly half of its garrison to Gul'dan's betrayal, and the furious Hammer of Doom had to retreat, thus missing its best chance to defeat the Human Alliance.

Desperate for power, Gul'dan is obsessed with attaining godhead, and he desperately sends a search party to find the tomb of Sargeras, buried at the bottom of the sea, where he believes the secret of ultimate power is hidden.

Gul'dan had sold all of his fellow orcs to the Burning Legion as slaves, and he had not even thought about doing his duty to the Hammer of Doom.

With the support of the Plunder Clan and the Duskhammer Clan, Gul'dan succeeded in locating the tomb of Sargeras at the bottom of the sea.

But when he opens the doors of this ancient dungeon, Gul'dan discovers that all that awaits him is a myriad of mad demons.

To punish the orcs for defecting, Doomhammer ordered his troops to hunt down Gul'dan and bring back the mutinous orcs.

Gul'dan paid the price for his recklessness, and he was torn to shreds by the mad demons he unleashed.

After the death of their leader, the rebellious clans were quickly routed by the wrathed legions of the Hammer of Doom.

Although the mutiny was suppressed, the orc tribes were no longer able to make up for the losses caused by the civil strife.

Gul'dan's betrayal brought not only hope to the Alliance, but also time to regroup and the opportunity to launch a counterattack.

Seeing a split within the orc tribe, Ser Lothar wasted no time in gathering the last of his forces and forcing the orcs back into the ruined hinterland of Azeroth.

There, the Human Alliance surrounded the Orc stronghold in the Blackstone Tower.

Despite Lothar's tragic death at the bottom of the tower, his lieutenant Turayan reunited his brothers of the Human Alliance at the last moment, driving the orc horde into the depths of the swamp of sorrow.

Tulayan's forces succeeded in destroying the Dark Gate, the mysterious passage that connected the orc's homeland of Draenor to the world of Azeroth.

The orc tribe, cut off from supplies and backups, finally collapsed in front of the Alliance's forces.

The torn orc clan was quickly driven into a heavily guarded captive camp.

While it looks like the orcs have been completely defeated, there are still doubts about how long this peace will last.

At this time, the higher-ups of the already famous Cadega Alliance established the Watch Fort to monitor the ruins of the Dark Gate and ensure that the Orcs would not launch new invasions from Draenor. 5 Crossing the Dark Gate Only a few months after the completion of the Watchkeep, the Dark Gate's energy rose again and opened a passage to Draenor.

The remnants of the tribe, led by the shaman elder Neozu, have once again developed ambitions for Azeroth.

In order to increase the mana of Naozu, the orcs plan to steal some ancient artifacts, and they plan to open a new entrance to Draenor so that they can escape the red world that was destined for good.

Upon learning of Neozu's plans to invade the Alliance's territory once again, King Terrenus of Lordanong sent an expedition to Draenor to eradicate any threat posed by orc forces to Azeroth once and for all.

Under the leadership of Khadgar and General Tulayan, the Alliance Army completely defeated the Orc forces in the Burning Lands.

But despite the alliance with elite troops under the command of Elaria the Elven Ranger and Kurdan the Dwarf, Khadgar was unable to stop Neozu from opening the portal and escaping to other continents.

Due to the excessive energy accumulated at the entrance, a huge storm suddenly appeared in the world of Draenor.

While Khadgar was doing his best to lead his people in a desperate battle to return to Azeroth, Neozu managed to escape through a portal with only his most trusted servants.

Knowing that their ultimate fate was death, Khadgar and their desperate companions selflessly decided to destroy the Dark Gate so that Azeroth would not be affected by the destruction of Draenor.

After all their efforts, the heroes finally succeeded in destroying the Dark Gate and saving Azeroth.

However, it is unknown whether they are the only fate that Draenor can bestow on them. 6 Invasion of Draenor When the smoke of the Second Orc War dissipated, the Alliance took a positive attitude and measures to solve the orc problem, establishing a series of captive shelters in southern Lordaeron to hold the captured orcs.

Under the watchful eye of paladins and seasoned veterans, the shelter was a great success.

While the captured orcs were restless and wanted to fight, everything seemed peaceful and orderly under the control of the ancient prison castle of Dunhold.

Still, in the hellish world of Dranord, a new orc force is ready to bloodied the defenseless human alliance once again.

Gul'dan's mentor, Naozu, regrouped the remaining beast clans under his banner.

With the support of the Shadowmoon Clan, the old shaman plans to open several portals to the New World in Draenor, and in order to strengthen his new portals, he will need to obtain some ancient artifacts from Azeroth.

So, Neozu once again opened the Dark Gate and sent his descendants.

The new orc tribe, led by experienced chieftains, Grom Hellroar of the Warsong Clan and Chirlog Deadeye of the Bloodcave Clan, sent the Alliance's defenses in shock, and they swept through the surrounding countryside.

Under the precise guidance of Neozu, the orcs quickly found the artifact they needed and withdrew Draenor.

Convinced that the Orcs were ready for a new invasion of Azeroth, King Terenus of the Kingdom of Lordaeron summoned his most trusted lieutenants.

King Terenus ordered General Tulayan and his division Khadgar to lead an expedition through the Dark Gate to deal with the orc threat.

Tulayan and Khadgar led their forces into Draenor and engaged the clan of Naozu fiercely on the barren Hellfire Peninsula.

Even with the help of the High Elf Arelia Windranger, the dwarven Kudran Brutehammer, and the brave warrior Danas Torbain, Khadgar was unable to stop Neozu from opening portals to other worlds.

Eventually, Neozu opened a new portal, but he did not foresee that he would pay a terrible price for it, and the enormous energy emitted by this portal began to destroy the world of Draenor.

As Tulajan's forces fought to the death to return to Azeroth, the world of Draenor began to crumble.

Grom Hellroar and Chirlog Deatheye realized that Neozu's crazy plan would destroy their entire race, so they gathered the remnants of the orcs and fled to Azeroth.

In Draenor, Tulayan and the mage Khadgar ultimately decided to destroy the Dark Gate on their side, and while they knew they would never be able to leave Draenor, they also knew that it was the only way to ensure that Azeroth was unaffected.

As Grom Hellroar and Chirlog Deadeye desperately cut their way through the human forces to gain their freedom, the Dark Gate exploded behind them.

For them, and for all the orcs who remained in Azeroth, the hope of returning to their homeland was lost forever.

Neozu and his Shadowmoon Clan cronies make their way through the largest new portal as a massive volcanic eruption tears Draenor to shreds.

The burning ocean tore the continent apart, and eventually, Draenor was destroyed by a massive explosion. 7 The Birth of the Lich King Naozu and his orcs enter the Twisted Void, a space that connects all worlds in endless darkness.

Unfortunately, Kil'Gardan and his demons await the arrival of Naozu and his party.

Kil'Gardan had vowed to make Neozu pay for his disobedience, so he brutally tortured the old shaman, cutting off pieces of his flesh.

Kil'Gardan kept the soul of Naozu intact, allowing him to endure the pain of being dismantled.

Although Naozu begged the demon to release his soul and let him die a happy death, the demon simply replied coldly that the blood pact they had made a long time ago was still valid, so Naozu was still useful.

The failure of the Orcs to conquer the world of Azeroth as the Burning Legion had hoped had forced Kil'Gardan to build a new army to wreak havoc on the world of Azeroth.

This new army cannot afford to be as civil strife as the Orcs, it must be obedient to the Burning Legion, cruel in its methods, and single-minded in carrying out their mission.

This time, Kilgardan can't afford to fail again.

Kilgardan controls the helpless soul of Neozuna, who is constantly tormented, and gives him one last chance to serve the Burning Legion, or let him endure eternal torment.

Once again, Naozu recklessly accepted the demon's offer, and his soul was placed into a carefully crafted block of ice, one collected from the far reaches of the twisted void as hard as a diamond.

After being placed in this cold container, Naozu felt his mind expand tens of thousands of times.

Distorted by the demonic chaotic power, Neozu became a ghostly creature, and from that moment on, the orc shaman Neozu disappeared forever, and the Lich King was born.

The Death Knights loyal to Neozu and the followers of the Shadowmoon Clan have also been transformed by demonic powers.

The evil sorcerers were torn to shreds and turned into skeletal lichs, a method used by the demons to ensure that even after death, Naozu's followers would serve him with all their hearts.

When the time came, Kil'Gardan explained his plan to the Lich King: Neozu would spread a plague in Azeroth, enveloping Azeroth with death and fear, and ultimately destroying human civilization.

All creatures that die under the terrible plague will become undead, and their souls will forever be controlled by the will of Naozu.

Kilgardan assures the Lich King that if he can complete his mission to destroy the human world, he will be freed from his curse and gain a new healthy body.

While Naozu is eager to complete his mission, Kilgardan remains skeptical of his loyalty.

The demon trapped the Lich King's soul in an ice shell to ensure he could do what the Legion commanded, but he knew he had to keep an eye on the Lich King.

To solve this problem, Kil'Gardan summoned his elite demon guards, the vampire-like Dreadlord, to spy on Neozu and make sure he could complete his mission.

Titodios, the most powerful and cunning Dreadlord, accepts the challenge, intrigued by the potency of the plague and the Lich King's boundless creativity in the genocide-style carnage. 8 Ice Throne and Ice Throne Kil'Gardan sent the cold vessel containing the soul of Naozu back to the world of Azeroth.

Hard crystals streaked across the night sky and crashed into the desolate and cold continent of Northrend, buried in the bottomless icy Crown Glacier.

The ice shell that trapped Naozu's soul was distorted by the tremendous energy it erupted from its impact on the surface, forming a throne to which Naozu's vengeful soul was attached.

Neozu began to unleash his mind in the realm of the Frozen Throne and came into contact with the minds of the natives of Northrend.

He easily controls the minds of many local creatures (such as ice trolls and ferocious snow monsters) and shrouds them in his ever-expanding shadow.

Realizing that his spiritual power was almost limitless, Naozu used it to build a force and garrison them in the labyrinth of the Ice Crown.

Under the watchful eye of the Dreadlord, the Lich King controls his increasingly powerful forces and discovers a human immigrant at the edge of the Dragonbone Wasteland.

Naozu decided to test his power with these unsuspecting humans.

Naozu unleashed a plague of the undead from the depths of the Frozen Throne into the frigid wasteland.

He used his will to control the plague of the undead, channeling it into human villages.

In less than three days, all the humans in the village died, and then in an extremely short time, these dead villagers turned into zombies.

Naozu could feel the soul and mind of each of them as if it were his own.

The wails that echoed in his head made him stronger—as if their souls were his much-needed nourishment.

He found it easy to control the zombies' movements and assign them to do anything.

Over the next few months, Neozu continued to command his plague to sweep through every human settlement on the continent of Northrend.

As his army of the undead grows stronger, he knows that the true trial is coming.
